Are women better life coaches than men? I am a man and I’ve been a life coach for 22-years. In addition, I’ve been a life coach trainer for 11 years. And based on my experience the answer is “yes”. Of course there are lots of exceptions. But in general, I believe women are better life coaches than men for the following 3 reasons:
#1 The vulnerability factor
Vulnerability is important in life coaching. If clients don’t trust you they won’t be vulnerable. And if they aren’t vulnerable, you can’t help them. So how can a life coach help them be vulnerable? By being a vulnerable life coach. Hence, most women are naturally vulnerable. They love sharing their emotions. But a lot of male life coaches struggle with vulnerability. Because they don’t want to be perceived as being weak. As a result, this is my 1st reason why I believe women are better life coaches than men.
#2 The Communication Factor
Great communication is also an important part of life coaching. In fact, without it you can’t be an effective life coach. Likewise, you have to be able to help clients communicate their feelings. While simultaneously communicating yours as well. The better you can do this the more effective you’ll be. Once again, I have to give this one to women. Because they tend to naturally be better communicators. As a result, this is the 2nd reason I believe women are better life coaches than men.
#3 The Female Factor
No one understands a woman better than a woman. And no body understands a man better than a man. Although, there are exceptions. But in general, it’s true. In addition, the majority of life coaching clients are female. And they tend to get better results with female coaches because they relate to them better than with men. If the majority of client’s it may be different. So this is my 3rd and final reason I believe women are better life coaches than men. Click here to become a life coach today. Thanks for reading.
